Do Women REALLY Want to Rule the World?

I feel that I am an enlightened individual. Despite my rural, conservative upbringing, I have none of the usual prejudices. I don't care about your color or religion, and I fully believe that women could best men at nearly every task.

It's this belief of women's equality that I have begun the examine closely. Not a day goes by that I don't hear or read something where a woman is doing something extraordinary attempting to prove women are just as tough, smart, funny, (insert your own adjective here) as men are. But I think they are going about it the wrong way. The key to women ruling the world has been at their disposal since time immortal, and women (broad generalization here) are either too proud, stubborn, or stupid to realize it.

Ask most women their opinion of men, and their response is usually (again, broad generalization) "Men are dogs that only want one thing".

"Pigs."

"They would hump a stump if they could"

So, it seems that women think men only want one thing from women: sex.

Let's run with this premise, shall we? What position does this leave the women in? One of great power!

If all men want is sex, then women could possess anything their hearts desired if they truly wanted it.

For example, if women wanted world peace, all they would have to do is tell their significant other. "Honey, remember that thing you always wanted me to do, but I never would agree? You know, that thing with handcuffs, latex gloves, jumper cables, and peach preserves", a sly smile growing on her lips.

"Uh, yeah", he answers pensively.

"If you stop terrorism, worldwide, then not only will I do it for you, but I will invite another girl over to get involved and take pictures. Only when terrorism is gone will you receive your reward, and not a minute sooner."

Now, it has to be a concerted effort, with all women basically bribing their men with their hearts desires AT THE SAME TIME.

In this example, I truly believe that terrorism would be wiped out in less than a week, bin Laden would be decapitated in the first hour, and Somolian pirates would be choir boys at Guantanamo.

If men are such dogs, there is nothing a woman could ask for that wouldn't be provided, given their reward was enticing enough.

Basically, my argument is this: if a woman truly wants something, she either needs to be smart enough to take advantage of men's inherent weakness, or shut the hell up. They don't like the way men run the world, but they aren't willing to do what it takes to take charge themselves. Sure, we have women in some very powerful positions, but they are denying their sex by playing a man's role. With my scenario, women would have the true power while maintaining their femininity allowing men to save their egos by making it seem like their idea. Women get what they want, men get what they want, and everybody gets laid. Sound good to anyone else?

I already know what the arguments against this will be, but they are emotional arguments void of rational thought, and I want to hear them anyway...

Why I Believe there is No God

It all started a couple of weeks ago while visiting Pikeville for the weekend. I was at Tommy's and we were discussing the usual things -- string theory, metaphysics, and the existence of a god. Another friend of ours, Rodney, was also there, and was offering a differing view by stating there was, indeed, an all-knowing deity, and the only proof necessary was the miracle of childbirth. Wonderful and amazing, yes, I agreed, but no miracle, and certainly not enough to prove his point.

I countered by stating I have more faith in science because they have proof. I have seen and touched fossils that are millions of years old. I have never seen an angel fossil, nor any other proof of an omniscient being.

Rodney agreed that he, too, had never seen any of those things, either, but his faith told him it was so. He continued that it gave him comfort believing in something bigger than himself, and he needed to believe for his sister's sake.

Rodney's sister Amanda died in childbirth. Amanda was a beautiful person, inside and out. She truly was a light in this world, and her passing was a tragedy that rocked an entire community.

Rodney told me of how people continued to tell him how Amanda made their lives better, richer. I agreed. These people also said that she inspired them to be better people, and in turn, they inspire others. She was a catalyst that changed many peoples' lives in life, as well as in death.

It was in these scant moments that Rodney helped me solidify my feelings about religion and god.

See, my father committed suicide in 1986 when I was just 12 years old. Anyone that is vaguely familiar with the Bible can tell you what the consequences of suicide are. A one way ticket to Hell on the express train. No exceptions.

So I look at Rodney and tell him that according to the Bible, Saddam Hussein, Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Krzynksi, Pol Pot, and many other dispicable, disgusting people are all eligible or Heaven. The only caveat is that they accept "the Lord" and ask for forgiveness.

Kill anyone, anytime, for any reason and as long as you get that deathbed repent, you are good to go, so to speak.

Take your own life and no others - that's a hellin' for you.

So "God" will allow pain, suffering, murder, rape, incest, molestation, starvation and disease to ravage "his" creations, but they can't end it themselves? Sounds like an immature playmate that takes his ball and goes home if you don't play the game to his satisfaction.

So it is out of respect for christians that I choose to not believe in "God". Because if I did believe in "God", my opinion of it would be a selfish, immature, loathing bastard, not a loving healer.
